DR. DAWN NILES
SENIOR ADVISOR-ELDERLY CARE BENEFITS
She believes in actionable education as the change agent charting a course of action to earn and learn platforms in the 21st century. In 2013, Dr. Dawn decided to return to school to pursue her Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership. She had the pleasure of being an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University and Saint Peter’s University and realized the belief that a degree is the credit card to a career is a myth for many. Earn-and-Learn platforms known as apprenticeships are the infrastructure to build a strong 21st-century workforce. Governor Murphy of New Jersey believes apprenticeships are critical to building our workforce and for allowing participants to develop the skills they need to obtain meaningful employment. She has developed an Apprenticeship Resource Management (ARM) apprenticeship app to answer the call of the Governor.
Dr. Dawn received many awards and citations and was recognized by J&J Assurance Group 2023 “Spirit Award of the Year” Schepps Media “Power Women 2021”, Dress for Success Hudson County “Celebration 20/20 Event” 20 years of community service to 20 women of all walks of life” and Jersey City’s “Women of Action” in 2011 for her work in the community.
Her life mission is to positively mentor generations (old and new) to be unafraid of the unknown. To critically think, run into the storm of life, and deal in the game of chance. Staying still and stagnate limits your options. My great hope is my grandson Zaire Leander Herman takes flight without limitations.
Dr. Dawn Niles is a financial representative with New York Life, where she directs individuals, government, businesses, and non-government on the benefits of holistic estate planning. She was sought after for her leadership and is a current Partner candidate. In this role, she has mentored agents to embrace the reciprocal concept of the sales and educational relationship our companies offer our clients. Dawn is very dedicated to the art of apprenticeship learning tied to continuing to educate the current and future generations. She added to her practice outside New York Life to include Medicare where she is dedicated to providing solutions to seniors facing health, mental, housing, and financial challenges.
Education is a core critical element that defines her legacy. A fellow alumni from Carnegie Mellon recommended her to the program after meeting her at a non-profit. Dr. Dawn attended Carnegie Mellon University’s Arts Management program to build stronger communities around the world. After working in global non-profits for several years. She created her own internship in South Africa where she was invited to fundraise for the children of Soweto. This was familiar to her based on the work she did with the fundraising efforts for the children of Uganda.
